Malte has over 12 years experience in the retail and branded consumer sector at board level. He has extensive experience in growing and restructuring luxury brands. Malte worked as CFO for the fashion house Alice Temperley for over four years and helped to grow the company six-fold in turnover. Prior to that he was the business development director of a Swiss Technology holding company with EUR100m turnover. Malte started his career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London.
He is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a BSc with honours in Management from the London School of Economics and an MBA from London Business School.
At Scaphan, he focuses on strategy, turnaround and financial management.
Russell has spent the last 20 years successfully helping fashion companies work smarter. He started his career at Burberry where he managed the operations of the womenswear division. He then spent three years with Temperley implementing best practice processes to improve delivery and margin.
After being the Merchandising Director of Aquascutum, he , along with Chris and Malte, founded The Scaphan Network in 2009.
At Scaphan, he specialises in supply chain optimisation and building platforms for growth; including among other things sourcing, critical path management, pricing and people management.
After graduating from Cambridge University, Chris began his career at Sotheby’s and went on to business school at SDA Bocconi in Milan. He was then recruited by Texas Pacific Group (TPG) to join the turnaround team at Ducati, the motorcycling manufacturer in Bologna, where he lived for 5 years.
Subsequently, he spent 2 years as part of a restructuring team at Escada, the fashion group in Munich. In 2005, Chris returned to London as CEO of Haunch of Venison, a leading contemporary art gallery he grew and sold to Auctioneers Christie’s. He subsequently became CEO of fashion brand Julien Macdonald. Chris’ has been an advisor to a wide range of retail clients.

Gabrielle is a highly experienced and innovative entrepreneur, Gabrielle has broad operational experience in all aspects of eCommerce, mobile commerce, direct marketing strategy and strategic brand management.
She has worked with blue chip brands such as Sophie Hulme, LK Bennett, Hobbs, Moonpig, Solange Azagury, Fenwick of Bond Street, TK Maxx and Sweaty Betty. Since relocating from the US ten years ago, Gabrielle has worked with leading consumer brands on building their online presence and increasing market share. Prior to her relocation from the US, Gabrielle founded a leading online retailer of distinctively designed social stationery and paper products, and the brand represented artists from across the US offering unique, high quality ranges to customers from all 50 states.
Gabrielle headed up Partnership Marketing for Real Simple, the most successful new US magazine launch in Time Inc.’s history.
